We live in Santa Margarita, and we want to worship in Santa Margarita. We also want to meet neighbors and encourage one another, share meals, and share friendship.

We are not associated with any church or denomination; our regulars attend several different churches. Anyone and everyone is welcome to come, regardless of faith background or belief.

We believe God has called us to Santa Margarita and its people. We want to enjoy the love of Jesus and extend it to the people of Santa Margarita—especially all who are lonely, hurting, and distressed.

Fellowship Nights: What are they like?

Once a month, on a Sunday evening, we come together for fellowship and worship. We start with a meal, chatting and getting to know each other around tables. Then we move to a time of singing, prayer, scripture reading, and a sermon. Musically, we draw on the many decades of worship music in English–you may find yourself singing a hymn from the 17th century, a contemporary song, or a classic from 1985! We often have time for “open,” spontaneous prayer: feel free to voice whatever is on your heart, or remain silent. Our current sermon series, by Rev. Bryce Bussert, is walking through the adventurous book of Daniel.

Who Should Come?

Whether you lead a church, have never set foot in a church, or have been totally alienated by a church, you are welcome here! We are here to love our neighbors, whatever their perspective, background, or struggles. Kids of all ages are always welcome too!

What Do We Believe?

We have no formal statement of faith, but we subscribe to the core tenets of historical Christian belief. God the Father is the maker of heaven and earth. He sent Jesus His only son who was crucified and rose again. He sent the Holy Spirit to be with us as we await Jesus’s return.  The Bible is God’s word to His people.

We have experienced that God is good. We worship Him for the joy of it. We have felt His love. We know that we are messed up people, but we also know that He forgives us and transforms us. We know that he calls us to forgive and live with one another, and that we need community.

Leadership

Our organization is informal. We have no staff. Fellowship Nights are organized by Nathan & Cindy Ecret and Erik & Heather Larson. Sermons are given by Rev. Bryce Bussert. If you would like to help with music or readings, we’d be glad to have you! Please let one of us know.
